Sambar is a South Indian lentil stew enjoyed with rice or idli.
Toor dal,
Tamarind,
Vegetables,
Curry leaves,
Mustard seeds,
Sambar powder
1. Cook toor dal until soft. Mash lightly.
2. In another pot, boil vegetables like drumsticks, carrots, and beans. Add tamarind pulp and sambar powder.
3. Mix cooked dal into this. Temper with mustard seeds, curry leaves, and red chilies in oil. Add to sambar.
